ABOUT US

CY Studio is a building, spatial, cabinetry, furniture design studio. We offer design services with passion, experience and quality outcome. The design studio is led by the husband and wife team, Stephen Yau and Lambie Chan with wide range experience on variable project types including Architecture, Interior Design, Cabinetry Design & Custom Furniture Design. For 20 years in Melbourne since the couple migrated from overseas, we converted many design ideas into realistic projects with their passion about exploring new design ideas, better design solutions and generating exciting yet quality function design outcomes on every project.

As a small design firm, we aim for quality projects with fully resolved outcomes. Our typical project sectors are including small to medium sized residential design, educational building design & commercial. Majority of our clients are personally owning and using the property that they require custom design to suit the specific taste and needs.

OUR PRINCPLES

The design principle that we adopted is based on 'processes' that determines 'style and outcome' instead of the other way around.

The 'processes' include RESEARCH > CONCEPTUALISE > IDEAS EXTRACTION > TESTING > REFINEMENT > ELABORATION

On each of our projects, we repeat practicing based on the principle but not the elements. We aim to achieve experiential, customised and unparalleled design outcome with full of energy and imagination.
